On 25^th June 2013, Continental Corporation  held global customer conference in Rotterdam, Netherlands - the second-largest habour in the world. In this event, the firm has introduced series of new habour tire product that are manufactured  under V.PLY technology. According to that, the design and trademark of tire 18.00-25/40PR Simex Container Master E4 IND are changed to 18.00-25/40PRContinental Container Master E4 IND. From now, tire quality shall totally follow European standard. Thang Long Spare Part Equipment JSC., - the distribution agent in Vietnam, together with some big important customers in Haiphong Port had pleasure to be invited to participate in this event.

At the conference, we have had chance to visit and be introduced about V.PLY technology. V.PLY technology is in fact a huge leap forward in the quest for the perfect tire, it’s the result of many efforts of the Continental Group’s Research and Development team. V.PLY technology combines the best of cross-ply design and radial-ply design. With V.PLY technology, there are up to 4 breaker layers which not only provide additional rigidity to the tread area, but also function as an excellent bonding element between the outer rubber tread and inner polymer structure. With V.PLY pattern, there are up to 20 layers of high-resistance polymer fiber are aligned in a specially angled V-pattern. This unique technology is inspired by racing tire design and means less inner movement for low rolling resistance. The V.PLY technology allows for the design of exceptionally strong sidewalls. They provide low deflection for high damping, excellent driving stability, and nearly unmatched protection against damage. In contrast to beads with a single round wire, the V.PLY design is based on three wire cores. The result is a wide bead, which provides even load distribution and perfect rim fit.

In general, we can only say that with this new technology, the quality of the tire will be much better. The conference has finished successfully. This is the event in which Continental would like to express their gratitude for all customers who use their products. Therefore, all guest are big name in Port aspect: Hai Phong Port, Dinh Vu Port, Doan Xa Port, Viconship and Vinalines Hai Phong. However, what a pity that two representatives of Dinh Vu Port and Viconship didnot attend the event because they cannot arrange time.
